This stunning Four-Armed Chenrezig Thangka depicts the Bodhisattva of Compassion in serene meditation. At the center, Chenrezig is seated calmly on a lotus throne rising from a sacred pond. His peaceful expression radiates loving-kindness and universal compassion.
Chenrezig’s four arms carry deep symbolic meaning. His two main hands are joined at the heart in Anjali Mudra. Between them rests a wish-fulfilling jewel, or Cintamani, symbolizing the union of wisdom and compassion. His upper right hand carries a crystal rosary, representing unbroken compassion and continuous recitation of mantras. In his upper left hand, he holds a blooming lotus flower — the sacred symbol of purity, spiritual awakening, and liberation from samsara.
The lotus throne beneath him is adorned with additional lotus blossoms on both sides, emphasizing spiritual growth and purity. Behind him, the landscape flows with symbolic richness. Snow-capped mountains rise above lush hills, and clear rivers cascade into the sacred pond below, nourishing the lotus that supports Chenrezig.
Above the central figure, Amitabha Buddha floats in the sky, radiating blessings. To his left, below the sun, sits Green Tara on a lotus base. To his right, below the moon and stars, sits White Tara. Together, they form a celestial triad, resting on clouds above the earthly realm.
At the bottom, Manjushri appears on the right side of the pond, symbolizing transcendent wisdom. Vajrapani sits on the left, representing enlightened power. Both are seated on lotus bases and complete this sacred assembly of enlightened beings.
This Four-Armed Chenrezig Thangka is hand-painted on high-quality cotton canvas using fine acrylic paints. The artist has skillfully applied genuine 24-karat gold to highlight divine features and ornamental details.
