This magnificent sculpture depicts Manjushri, Jampalyang in Tibetan, the Bodhisattva of Wisdom, Manjushri, Jambiyang, in an enthralling manner. The 24-karat gold-gilded sculpture, painstakingly carved from copper alloy using the age-old Lost Wax Method, displays delicate hand-carvings of blossoms and twisted vines. This holy piece of art is elevated to a higher plane by the delicate hand painting on the Bodhisattva's face. 

Sitting elegantly on a lotus base that has been painstakingly carved by hand, Manjushri embodies his legendary form. In Vitarak Mudra, the Gesture of Teaching and Intellectual Discussion, he holds a flaming sword in his right hand, representing the severing of ignorance. He holds the Perfection of Wisdom Sutra in his left hand as it rests on a lotus flower by his side. The intricately carved five-pointed crown, jewels, and symbolic elements like the sacred book and blazing sword showcase the mastery of the craftsmen.

The sculpture's visual richness is amplified by the elaborate engravings of winding vines and floral motifs on his flowing robes. At the rear of the figure, encircled by intricately carved vines, the blazing sword stands tall on the lotus flower. Adding to the piece's metaphorical depth is a finely carved Vajra that rests horizontally on the lotus base, encircled by elaborate carvings of vines. 

The centuries-old custom and devotion to sacred art are on full display in this monument, which was painstakingly created by skilled artisans in Patan, Nepal. This exquisite work of art exudes spiritual knowledge and artistic brilliance with its vibrant 24-karat gold gilding and meticulously painted visage.
